Steampunk

Steampunk . If you have not heard of this term before, imagine Johnny Depp's captain sparrow meeting Star Wars in another dimension XD. That is how I viewed it. 

Anyways,Steampunk is a sub genre of science fiction that typically features steam powered machinery , especially in a setting inspired by industrialized Western civilization during the 19th century.

 Lincoln today is the venue for a retro-futurist extravaganza. Weekend at the asylum  is the largest purely steampunk event in Europe and attracts participants from around the world.  For three days  ( 13,14 and 15 September ) the historic streets of Lincoln are full with splendidly dressed steam punks enjoying a festival which strives to combine art, literature, music, fashion, comedy and simple good fun. 

They may look weird, but believe me... THEY ARE HAVING LOADS OF FUN. Which is the most important thing. I may return to Beirut dressing like a steam punk. :P who would like to join me??
